Ninepointfive Team

The Netherlands, 30th January 2025 – Ninepointfive Tidal, an investment fund contributing to the energy transition in the Maritime, Ports and Offshore sector has joined the Maritime Battery Forum.

Ninepointfive Tidal invests in startups (hardware, software technologies or innovative business models) that contribute to the energy transition in the maritime, ports and offshore sector. The fund is set up in close collaboration with corporations in the sector. By connecting and establishing strong relationships with selected start-ups and the industries’ expert network (top tier corporations, VCs, research institutes and entrepreneurs), Ninepointfive is driving Start-Up growth through strategic partnerships.

Electrification of the maritime sector is core to their investment topic and ranges from where the energy is created (offshore green energy) over how it is transformed and/or stored (electrolysers and batteries) to how it is deployed (hybrid and electric propulsion). With several Start-Ups in the electrification and green energy sector in their pipeline, Ninepointfive Tidal contributes to making one of Europe’s most crucial sectors future-proof and ready to transition.

By becoming a part of a global community like the Maritime Battery Forum, the fund can gain access to valuable insights into focal points for growth in the energy sector of the maritime, ports and offshore sectors. With a history of building partnerships, and unique expertise in working with startups, Ninepointfive Tidal brings invaluable perspective on community building and connecting stakeholders to accelerate the energy transition.

Our team is looking forward to joining the MBF and exchanging thoughts and insights, diving right into it by speaking at the upcoming WATTS UP 2025
