Electrification update of the LR Zero Carbon Fuel Monitor

LR is inviting MBF members as experts on maritime batteries and marine electrification to participate in a workshop to update the information regarding electrification.

The Lloyd's Register Maritime Decarbonisation Hub has developed and is continuously updating data on their Zero Carbon Fuel Monitor and its 'electrification' page is available here: Electrification - Compare zero carbon fuels | LR | LR. The goal of the Zero Carbon Fuel Monitor is to share information that can drive action to advance readiness of zero carbon solutions across the supply chain for shipping.

  • It contains an assessment of the readiness of electrification for shipping, across the supply chain and against 3 readiness types: technology, investment, and community.

  • Insights related to the readiness of electrification and batteries.

The workshop shall take place on Tuesday 10 September 2024.

Workshop : Resources & Production, Bunkering, Ports & Ship

  • 9:45-11:45 (Central European Time)

  • suggested attendees: Battery manufacturers and System integrators

  • other MBF members are also welcome to participate

MBF Meet Up SMM - Hamburg

The MBF will be at SMM in Hamburg on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th of September and we are organizing a Maritime Battery Meet Up on Wednesday evening. So if you are interested in having a good German dinner and some (decently German sized) beers with other maritime battery enablers, then you're welcome to join us from 19:00 at the Hofbräu Wirtshaus Speersort

We have reserved a large table for a group of 15 people and we already have a battery supplier, integrator, equipment provider, ship designer, ship owner, and a ship builder joining us, so it will be a nice mixed group of MBF members and other maritime battery enthusiasts!

We need to provide the restaurant with the final number of people on Tuesday the 3rd, so please sign up before Tuesday the 3rd (4pm)!

Location: Hofbräu Wirtshaus Speersort

Date: Wednesday September 4th

Time: 19:00 - 21:00

Who's invited?: Both MBF members and other maritime battery enthusiasts!
